Anja Sachs and Friends

The singer-songwriter Anja Sachs writes songs that counteract the restless spirit of today. Clear, honest and intense in expression, the artist draws a line between profound melancholy and wonderfully bizarre nonsense. She doesn't shy away from bringing taboo subjects to light, or warning elsewhere against eating insidious beefsteak tomatoes. She explains to her listeners what Pippi Longstocking has in common with Facebook, or why God fears the death of Babbel-Bärbel.

In Asbachgasse she is now presenting her debut album "MU", which will be released in 2021. To celebrate this properly, she has invited a band consisting of illustrious scene celebrities, which she brings to the stage along with her solo performances. Biber Herrmann plucks guitar and bass, the Wiesbaden guitar virtuoso Gerd Vogel provides energetic solos, Achim Farr, saxophonist of the Frankfurt City Blues Band is also part of the party as well as one or two surprise guests.

"MU" is a term from Asian philosophy and means something like "everything that exists". This fits the musical sweep of the evening.
